General admission survival guide

U2 GA Floor Guide

How to plan a general admission night at a U2 stadium show: when to line up, where to stand, and how to make it through a long day on your feet.

Heads up: the 2027 stage hasn't been revealed. The map below is our illustration of a typical U2 stadium layout, not the official design. We'll update it after the Mexico City shows.

GA day checklist

The stuff people forget.

Check the rules

Every stadium sets its own bag size, queue and re-entry rules. Read them the week before, not in line.

Pack light, stay fed

Portable charger, earplugs, a rain layer and snacks if the venue allows them. You may not leave your spot for hours.

Look out for each other

Hydrate, know where security is, and give the person next to you room to breathe. Good rail etiquette makes the night.

FAQ

GA questions

How early should I line up for U2 GA?

For the front rail, fans have historically queued from early morning or the day before, sometimes with an unofficial fan-run numbering system. Venue rules vary, so check each stadium's policy before you camp.

Where is the best sound on a U2 GA floor?

Near the front-of-house soundboard. It's where the show is mixed, so the balance is best there.

Is the 2027 stage design known?

Not yet. U2 hasn't revealed the production. This guide uses what's been typical on past stadium tours, and we'll update it once the first shows in Mexico City happen.
