Mexico ! South America ! More US Dates
New York: The must see tour of the year ! Now heads to Mexico and South America before swinging back around to some U.S Stadiums. Fans have speculated for weeks of a possible Mexican, South American leg. Today U2 announced more North American dates and Mexico City and some South American dates.
In Mexico and South America, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have been confirmed as special guest for all dates. Tickets will go on sale Wed. June 14th in Mexico City, June 15th in Bogota, Buenos Aires and Santiago and Friday June 16th in Sao Paulo.
There will be an exclusive priority presale for U2 Subscribers at U2.com starting Thursday, June 8th (10am) through Saturday, June 10th (5pm) local times for U2.com.

New York City: Reports have been coming in that a South American leg could be in the works. A Brazilian newspaper has reported that U2 will, in fact, be coming to Brazil in October with Noel Galagher opening for Bono and the boys.
As more news continues to surface, we will keep you up to date. Note this is not an official word from Live Nation rather a report from a newspaper which under checked the venue details and it's clear the venue is not going to have any football ( American Soccer) events scheduled for October at this time.
We have reported before some other South American countries could be added to the list. Such as Peru, Argentina, Chile, andColombia.
Again until confirmed by Live Nation just hold on.

New York: Remember a couple of weeks back we posted about Grammy Possibilities? Sure you do. In the music business to be considered for a Grammy, music must be released before the end of October. Songs of Innocence had a subtle album release which allowed U2 to qualify for entry for consideration.

Songs of Experience could still release before 2016 runs out (after all, its predecessor dropped with little warning), but the Barcelona interview could hint towards a revised timeline, with a 2017 release more likely.
"It's not finished yet, but you will like it," replied Bono. "In terms of lyrics it is stronger than [1983 album] War; it has more clarity."
A global tour will have to take into consideration South America; let's consider this. If the tour kicks off in Miami ( Florida ) the boys could then pack up quickly and head off to Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brazil and return to NYC and swing across America during the summer when stadium tours most often happen.
Making logical routing of a tour that needs to take into a count Central and South America which would be in Summer season early January. Now, of course, this is pure speculation on our behalf. However, most of us have worked in the industry, so we do have some experience with tour schedules.
Argentina 3rd Show Difference
Leon Gieco and Francisca Valenzuela joined the last time during the show in Chile a couple of days easlier.
Gieco sang backing vocals and guitar by Bono “All I ask of God,” in an emotional block that also included a prayer from factory own “I Still Have not Found What I’m looking for.”
It was the latest of several surprises that left the Irish in Argentina. The first was the inclusion of, “Even Better Than The Real Thing”, a song from Achtung Baby The boys had not played the song for several years.
Beyond the basic set list is more or less unchanged;a U2 sought to create nuances in the three that shows at La Plata that made each a unique experience for fans.
Last night, the main surprise was the entry of Gieco on stage, but there were more changes. The classic “Pride (In The Name Of Love)”“Bad”, a jewel of the album The Unforgettable Fire. And for the first time “Magnificent”, was not included.
There was one failure in these three U2 concerts, the band did not play any song from their 1987 album, Rattle and Hum. But for the more than 150 000 fans who filled the stadium for three nights everyone enjoyed the show and wondered a bit if this was the last time they will get to see Bono and the boys.
2nd Night Argentina
Tonight, La Plata, U2 gives its second concert in Argentina, as part of a 3 night series the 360 Tour started on Wednesday with about 60 thousand delirious fans packed into stadium in La Plata.
Unique Stadium gates will be open from 16, organizers said, U2 taking the stage at 19.30. Follow tonights show via tweeter stream or twitter as well as the hash marks #U2360ARG #U2360SAM
U2 returns to step on the impressive stage set for the show that was what gave the name to the tour, as the Irish band’s performance can be seen from anywhere in the stadium because of the way in which it was built the scenery.
Regarding the role of Sunday, the last of U2 in Argentina before heading to Brazil to continue to segment the South American world tour “360 º”, the opening hours of door will be at 15 and U2 will take the stage at 19 hours.

La banda U2 se presentará este viernes en el país con su 360° Tour, el que consta de un escenario conocido como “La garra”, una estructura de 50 metros de alto convertida en el mayor montaje musical que ha pasado por el país.
Esta monumental puesta en escena ha causado preocupación en el mundo del fútbol ya que se desconoce cómo quedará la cancha del recinto de Ñuñoa luego del recital de este viernes. Ante esta situación desde la producción del evento llaman a la calma ya que han tomado todas las medidas para tener todo en perfectas condiciones.
“Nos hemos preocupado de tomar todas las medidas correspondientes para proteger y reponer cualquier daño que se produjese en la cancha luego del concierto. Hay un cubre campo de aluminio para proteger la cancha del peso del escenario y de la maquinaria existente”, comentó a Cooperativa.cl Francisco Bas, productor técnico de Time For Fun (T4F), la productora encargada del evento.
“Además, hemos comprado más de 4.000 m2 de pasto para reponer la cancha, sea cual sea su estado. La cancha se entregará en iguales o mejores condiciones de la que estaba antes de recibirla”, acotó.

Less than a week away before the boys big return to South America -
360 Tours first stop March 25th at the National Stadium in Santigo . In order for this show to be a success they have been working rond the clock to bring the gear and crew into Chile. Claudia Fres Terra is the production manger working out all the logistics. The time the band will bring their very large families and that pretty much locks up 14 plus annexed backstage hospitality rooms for the family to share with friends.
Bono will have four ful dressing rooms, one for the family to use, one for staff and of course one to chile out prior to start of the show. U2 will be traveling this tme with a large extended crew. A personal chief which wil provide all the normal afare such as meat, pasta, seafood and of course lots of chilean wines. Seafood will be at the top of the menu because of the regions great fishing grounds.
So of the interesting items back stage 24 refirgerators to hold 14K liters of liquid ( hum that’s a lot of beer) 5 freezers for just ice.
Within the list of requests, which attracted most attention was the application of 24 refrigerators to preserve 14 thousand liters of liquid. In addition, another 5 freezers for 1,500 liters. And a thousand kilos of ice.
Back stage of course will be turned into U2’s personal wonder land. All of the decorations have been packaged into thecontainers with everything else. Tables, chairs, racks for lots of clothing.
Did you know that this tour in South America will have 15 bilingual assitants to handle all of the adminstrative work.
Now lets talk about the transporation pool., three Mercedes Benz, BMW and three three Chrysler the staff also asked a couple of medium-sized private jets.
The final requests that are on the rider 75 Blackberry phones with international calling, about 6 or 8 guards apart from bringing each of them, a chiropractor and a masseuse apart from theirs, 350 long white towels, 12 type golf carts to work, 4 oxygen bottles to withstand the intensity of the show, a special room just for the band, and a lounge to meet and relax.
U2 360° Heading To Chile
Live Nation Global Touring today confirmed that U2 will return to Chile. The U2 360° Tour will visit Estadio Nacional in Santiago on Friday March 25th, 2011 and special guests on the night will be Muse.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on December 16th and to Entel customers paying only with CMR Falabella cards on Monday, December 13th and Tuesday 14th via Ticketmaster.
U2.com subscribers can enter a special advance PRESALE beginning this FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10th at 10am (local) and running until this SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12th at 5pm (local).
